“A number of events will occur in the Russian pension system in 2020,” noted Alexander Grigorievich, “which will affect all participants in the systems, not only pensioners, but also working citizens, as well as families entitled to maternity (family) capital. The first thing I would like to note is that in 2020, for the first time, the indexation of insurance pensions of non-working pensioners will be carried out not from February 1, but from January 1 of the new year. Insurance pensions, including fixed payments, for non-working pensioners will be increased by 3.7% from January 1, 2018, which is slightly higher than the forecast inflation rate. The size of the fixed payment after indexation will be 4,982 rubles 90 kopecks, and for citizens who have reached the age of 80 and disabled people of group 1 – 9,965 rubles 80 kopecks, and the cost of the pension coefficient – 81 rubles 49 kopecks.”

The new procedure for paying pensions provides that the pensioner will receive an insurance pension, taking into account adjustments (indexation), from the 1st day of the month following the month of termination of work or other activities of the pensioner. The deadlines for processing data and making a decision will remain the same, however, the pensioner will be paid additionally for the months starting from the month following the dismissal of the pensioner.”
It is expected that the total expenses of the Pension Fund Branch for the Novosibirsk Region to provide pensions and other social benefits to residents of the region will amount to about 142 billion rubles.
