Pension payment schedule for New Year holidays in 2020

Moscow, 10.18.2020, 17:43:34, FTimes.ru editorial office, author Zoya Zharkova.

As you know, New Year holidays in Russia are long, and due to the winter holidays, the schedule of many institutions - post offices, clinics, banks - changes.

On the eve of the holidays, pensioners are interested in how the pension for January 2020 will be paid, because according to the schedule, many pensioners should receive it on holidays.

Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reassured pensioners by saying that the Russian Pension Fund (PFR) must pay January pensions ahead of schedule. Moreover, pensions are planned to be paid taking into account the indexation planned for 2020.

Who is eligible for pension increases from 11/01/2020?

Reindexation of pension payments from November 1, 2020 will take place according to a special scheme. This procedure will take place when some restrictions become apparent that have worked once again:

The pensioner, who had continued to work until then, suddenly quit and never went to work anywhere else. The Russian Pension Fund will add a recalculation to the already known pension, which previously happened regularly while the same pensioner was working.

The number of dependent citizens has increased. Regarding this same pensioner, he is responsible for three dependents (for example, young grandchildren who have not reached the age of majority and are still in school). But the state does not pay funds for more than three dependents under the care of the same citizen. This amount is no more than 33.33% of the pension.

The pensioner left for permanent residence in a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, where the regional multipliers turned out to be higher.

The pension has changed because the father of these same dependents has passed away.

In order for the pension to be recalculated upward in November, an application should be sent to the Pension Fund office at the place of residence as soon as possible. In each specific case, the application is submitted in advance - about a month before the expected or planned changes.

How will funds be paid in December?

If citizens who are pension recipients are due to receive a second payment in December 2020, then they can receive funds in different ways.

These include:

  • issuing cash at the cash desk of post offices;
  • the postman independently brings funds to the pensioner’s house;
  • funds are transferred through banks, for which they are transferred to a savings account or card;
  • the services of specialized organizations that work in the field of pension delivery are used, and money can be issued at the cash desk or brought to the pensioner’s home.

The deadline for receiving the January pension is in December.
Photo ecestaticos.ru Charts may vary significantly in different regions, but basic and standard conditions are used. If the payment day falls on a weekend or non-working day, the pension is issued early.

Receiving funds through Russian Post branches

This organization will not operate from January 1 to January 2, 2019.

From January 3 to January 5, some branches of the Russian Post begin to work as usual, but on January 6, a shortened working day is established. On January 7, all postal workers rest, and from January 9, all branches operate in a standard manner.

If a pensioner applies for his payments by mail, and the money arrives on the 1st or 2nd of each month, then you can count on payment for January in December 2020.

In some regions, the post office operates only from January 9, so funds are paid as usual only from this moment. If the payment date falls on January 7, then citizens will be able to receive money with a slight delay.

How was the pension indexed over the past 10 months of 2020?

In 2020, legislators have already re-indexed pensions according to the general scheme - for all categories of citizens. First of all, the increase affected the military, as well as social pensioners. Naturally, all the workers (who worked) for many years before also noted the increase. The list also includes payments from the Pension Fund, EDV and NSO. Working pensioners, who nevertheless have the right to receive a well-deserved labor pension, were also subject to reindexation. Here are the changes to payments for different categories of pensioners.

4.3% - EDV, NSO, payments from the Pension Fund - from 02/01/2020;

2% - social pension payments, state support - from 04/01/2020;

The next re-indexation will happen by the end of winter 2020. In January, there will be prerequisites for increasing pensions for ordinary workers (civilians) by approximately 6.6%. Payments for unified daily allowance, national social security and benefits for children will also be subject to changes - from 02/01/2020.

From January 1, pensions will not be indexed for all pensioners

The Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) recalled that on January 1, 2020, pensions will be indexed. However, this will not affect all Russian pensioners. The fund explained that the increase in payments will not affect workers, military pensioners and those receiving a social pension. Social pensions will be indexed on April 1 by 7%. The increase in military pensions is planned by 4% from October 1, 2020.

Let us remind you that insurance pensions will be indexed from the new year by 6.6%, which is higher than the official inflation of 2.8%. The average annual increase in pensions for non-working pensioners will amount to an average of 1 thousand rubles. Indexation will affect about 31 million people. Thus, the average pension of a non-working pensioner will reach 16.4 thousand rubles in 2020; in 2020, the average pension was 15.4 thousand rubles. Previously, the Ministry of Labor promised to increase state pensions from April 1, 2020 in accordance with the increase in the cost of living of a pensioner in 2020.

Indexation of working pensioners is frozen. As soon as they stop working, pensions will be recalculated taking into account indexation, the Pension Fund reported. Meanwhile, according to the head of the Pension Fund Anton Drozdov, as a result of this freeze, the budget will receive more than 350 billion rubles in 2020.

January pension payment schedule

The payment interval is being changed and partially postponed to December 2019 so that money is transferred to pensioners in advance if the date of receipt coincides with holidays. The January pension in December is paid as always: in cash at the post office or with home delivery, to a plastic card - via bank transfer.

Reasons for postponing payments:

  • Long New Year holidays - from December 30 to January 8, many banks and post offices will be closed. Changes in the operating hours of these institutions affect the date of accrual and disbursement of money.
  • Delays in filling the budget. The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation allocates funds from the reserve for calculating the January pension, but regions can make their own adjustments.
  • Pension funds and local post offices themselves determine the exact payment schedule.

Via Russian Post

For post offices, days off are set on January 1, 2 and 7. Pensioners who did not receive their due payments before the New Year will be able to do so after the holidays. The chart shows approximate dates recommended by the Russian Pension Fund.

Date of issue of money according to schedule, 2020 Receipt time, 2020 Receipt time, 2020
1–2.01 26–28.12 In normal mode after 3.01
3–5.01 Also
6–7.01 6.01 and later
8.01 onwards According to the usual schedule

Such advance payments are made from reserve funds and are regulated by regions. At the end of the financial year, the necessary budget funds may be transferred later than planned. For this reason, deviations are possible in some regions - 1-2 days from the recommended schedule. A pensioner needs to focus on the operating hours of his post office.

To a bank card

During the New Year holidays, most banks will not be open. Therefore, people who traditionally receive money from the 1st to the 8th will receive their January pension in December - until December 30, 2019. For retirees receiving payments on January 8, 2020 and later, enrollment dates will not change. This schedule must be followed regardless of the servicing bank. But here, too, delays of several days are possible due to late receipt of funds to the Pension Fund budget.

Getting a passport will become easier

From February 1, 2020, it will be possible to obtain a “new generation” international passport at the MFC, located in a populated area with a population of over 100 thousand people. They will be issued in at least one multifunctional public services center of such a city. At least one window will be allocated specifically for this purpose.

Previously, in order to obtain such a foreign passport, valid for ten years, a citizen could only submit documents to the MFC, and in order to receive a ready-made passport, he had to go to the authorized body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Banks will unite to issue loans

On February 1, the law “On a syndicated loan (loan) and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation” comes into force in Russia, according to which it will be possible to obtain a loan issued to a borrower by two or more banks.

As a rule, banks resort to such a syndicated loan if the borrower requests money in particularly large amounts. In this case, the borrower can be either an individual entrepreneur or a legal entity.
