How to get a federal labor veteran

An application for assignment of this title, together with the necessary documents provided, is sent to the executive authority within 10 days.
The decision to confer a title is made within 15 days from the date of receipt of the application. If the applicant is denied the title of Labor Veteran, he is notified of this within 5 days, and a formalized refusal indicating the reasons is sent to the social security authority to which the application was submitted. Every veteran should know that conferring the honorary title Veteran of Labor is the responsibility of social support services even after the adoption of Federal Law No. 122. In order to receive this title, do not wait until retirement age, collect all the necessary documents and go to the social security office at your place of residence. Categories of federal beneficiaries

awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Russian Federation or holder of the Order of Glory of three degrees (full holder of the Order of Glory);

In accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation, citizens from among veterans, disabled people, including disabled children, former minor prisoners of fascism and persons exposed to radiation as a result of radiation accidents and nuclear tests, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation receive monthly cash payments (MAP).

Benefits for labor veterans for 2020

In accordance with the federal law “On Veterans” (as amended on July 1, 2013), after a labor veteran is assigned a pension, he receives the right to use public clinics free of charge, as well as the right to receive full and qualified treatment in municipal and state healthcare institutions.

General pension privileges

The main document regulating the work of the social security system for pensioners awarded honorary status is the “Law on Veterans”, which has registration No. 5. Tax benefits

If an old-age pensioner is engaged in activities subject to a single tax, then the rate of such tax for him is reduced by 20%.

A person entitled to an old-age pension in relation to a residential building he owns, if there are no able-bodied persons registered in it, is exempt from paying property tax.

Persons entitled to an old-age pension are also exempt from paying land tax in relation to land plots provided to them for the construction and (or) maintenance of a single-apartment or semi-detached residential building, private farming, gardening, collective gardening, and so on.

That is, having accumulated enough experience to obtain a pension certificate, a working citizen can increase his income and receive additional benefits in the form of benefits in such areas as:

education, etc.

Also, an employee, a labor veteran (like any pensioner) receives privileges under employment contracts, in particular related to the length of the working day, regular vacations and other working conditions.
Medical benefits include:

the right to free medicines or compensation payments;

The Federal Tax Service provides benefits to veterans in the form of exemption from certain taxes, in particular property, transport and land taxes.
There are a number of restrictions and conditions for providing these benefits to working pensioners, in particular related to the number of registered units of property and the capacity of equipment. There are no restrictions only when considering personal income tax; its payment has been canceled for all pensioners. Labor benefits for working veterans include:

the right to additional leave without pay, lasting up to 14 days;
the ability to use the next vacation at any convenient time, without taking into account the priority.

Labor veterans are not subject to the two-week service rule upon dismissal. It should be noted that there are transport benefits, including the right to compensation for costs on suburban routes, the opportunity to purchase a social travel card, etc. Regions offer working veterans, as well as pensioners without additional status, more diverse types of benefits. How to obtain the title Veteran of Labor of federal significance

If the candidate fully meets the requirements set by federal law, he will be notified of the decision within 30 days. The same amount will be required to consider the application in case of refusal. It is worth noting that these deadlines may differ slightly in some regions.

work experience of more than 40 years for males and 35 years for females.

Transport : free use of public transport throughout the country; payment of 50% of the price of travel on water and rail transport.
Utilities : compensation of 50% of the amount of utility bills for water, gas, electricity, garbage removal, operation of television or radio antennas.
Medical : free production and repair of dentures in public dentistry (the benefit applies only to the service, but not to the material); free medical care in public clinics and hospitals; full treatment in healthcare institutions.
Workers : vacation can be chosen at any convenient time; upon dismissal, the employer is obliged to pay compensation to the Federal Law; rest once a year at your own expense.

Directions

By presidential decree of April 29, 2011. No. 176 “On state support for pensioners”, citizens who have reached the generally established retirement age and who have been assigned state pensions are entitled to a 50% discount on the fare:

on public railway transport in regional economy class trains,
on public water and road passenger transport of regular suburban services (except taxis).

The discount is valid annually, from May 1 to September 30.

State benefits for federal labor veterans
